All military members and civilian employees, (including contractors) who are parents or legal guardians of children attending public schools (including charter schools) in grades K-12 should be on the lookout for the
To qualify, they must be in one of the following categories:
- Have a parent or guardian active in the military (uniformed service);
- Live on one of the military bases;
- Have a parent who works on one of the military bases - this includes civil service and those who work for military contractors.
Funds received through Federal Impact Aid help off-set the tax revenue that is lost due to the tax exempt status of the federal property located within the school district. Federal Impact Aid is a source of desperately needed funding and other benefits for our local school district.
Canned Food Drive
Parents grab a couple of extra cans of vegetables and/or fruits for the Canned Food Drive here at NBHCA. Send them with your student in the mornings to give to their first period class teacher. We are counting the cans donated by each classroom and the class with the greatest amount of canned goods donated will win a PIZZA PARTY donated by the Key Club here at NBH high school. The canned food will be distributed along with other foods to the needy families here in our area for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Our drive will end on , please help by donating canned goods.
