Each NBH High School student is required to have an electronic device. For the 2020/2021 school year, all new students should purchase a Chromebook. We are no longer encouraging the use of iPads. iPads may only be used by students in grades 11th - 12th who previously used an iPad in lower grades.
All upcoming 8th, 9th, and 10 graders must have a Chromebook. For those parents/students purchasing a Chromebook, the Chromebook must be any brand or model of Chromebook which includes a touchscreen. We also highly recommend a protective case and an Accidental Damage policy for the Chromebooks, as we do not repair Chromebooks at the school. There are many websites/stores from which to purchase these devices and most offer different protection plans with them.
Students attending North Bay Haven School are able to apply for hardship status to offset the cost of purchasing a device. To participate in the Device Rental Program a Hardship Application must be filled out and either turned into the front office or emailed directly to our principal Mike McLaughlin by clicking here.
Once your application has been approved please bring the completed Device Rental Agreement along with your first-semester payment to Missy Tunnell in the front office after August 10th.Your student can then take this receipt to the media center to check out their device for the Fall of the 2020-2021 school year.
